Well hello there!

It’s going to be a short one. Truth be told, this post has been sitting on my to-do list for a while, along with 347 other things (roughly – and yes I’m being dramatic) and I’ve been drowning myself under stress and anxiety because I really struggle to stay on top of things. I AM KNACKERED, EXHAUSTED, and it would be tempting to blame this on my tenant (as referred to by my mum) but you know how us women can be: I simply remain frustrated with these things I’m not doing and don’t pay attention to the reasons why I’m not doing them in the first place.

I’ve never been pregnant before, so I don’t know how much of this current state of anxiety, stress and tiredness can be pinned on the wee man. I wanted this post to be a life update but I’d probably fall asleep trying to formulate it, ah! But there’s a lot going on business wise (as you know, thanks for all the applications by the way! So happy to be extending the team!) and I bloody can’t switch off, or stop feeling like I bloody GOT THIS, like I should. You know. SHE Unleashed and all that – can someone throw me a quick workshop?

By the way, the wee man (as referred to by his Daddy) only just turned 25 weeks but the dude WON’T STOP jumping in there!! I don’t think he’s that keen on sleeping, and between you and I, I think the Harrel name might all the Olympic Games of 2032 will be about: the strength of these legs.. I can’t! I’m growing an Olympian, I’m telling ya! You just wait!

IN OTHER NEWS, I’m so excited to announce that I’ve just been nominated by InStyle Magazine as Best Fashion Blogger – SAY WHAT???!!!! Well they’re nominations only, meaning I still have to try to win, right? That’s when I need you lot!
Can you pleaseee vote here and spread the message around; you know, to your neighbours, aunties, your bank advisor, it might be worth ringing your exes – just saying!

Thanks a bunch!

Lots of love,

Freddie x

Hey guys,

You know I’m quite the denim freak, you wouldn’t see me spending a whole week without chucking some blue jean in the mix! I’m always looking for a new woven buddy and I’m here to report a new find!

A great pair of jeans is hard to find, I’ve definitely had my fair share of denim do’s and don’ts over the years! I find the most important thing to remember when investing in a pair of jeans is to always make sure you find a pair that you feel comfortable in. There’s literally nothing worse than being squeezed into too tight jeans.

I love the fit and wash of these boyfriend jeans as they are loose on the leg with a slight taper towards the ankle. I’d style them with a plain tee and cropped jacket by day, then throw on a pair of killer heels with a cute cami for a dressier evening look as the dark wash makes them super versatile.

Boyfriend jeans don’t mean you can’t look cute, eh!

You guys know I love a trainer. From neon colours to hi-tops, I have a real gang of cushy friends I know I can count on whenever I need that extra spring in my step on these busy or comfy days. Especially at the moment, with the heavy legs and the obvious lack of balance (who breaks their elbow so stupidly?!), I had to extend the family, just because really.

So when Ugg asked me to take part in their #alifeofstyle campaign (read my interview here, talking morning routine, how I got into confidence consulting and more) I found new solace in both these pairs of trainers and styled them with 2 outfits, that sum up quite a bit how I’m doing my walkings this summer.

Outfit #1

I can’t get enough of the sheepskin model and couldn’t resist a bit of texture clash when I paired them with this disco top, metallic skirt and fluffy clutch. Because no one said you couldn’t be dazzly, soft, glittery and cushy at the same time. I am every woman and I dare you to stop me, ah!
We wandered to take these photos with the boy, around Herne Hill and some of our fave spots such as The Florence where they do beautiful hot dogs, and Brockwell Park – alwways a good idea when one wants to take a dip in the Lido or just walk off aforementioned heavy legs.

Outfit #2

Conscious that I could scare some of you away (please don’t go), I went for something much more sober and classy for the second outfit. A perfect mix for the office really since you’ll be bouncing on your feet yet rocking a cami top-blazer combo cute enough for you to get away with your cushy soles, should your office rules be on the not-so-fun spectrum. It’s all about compromise, trust the trainer addict in me, you can rock sneakers (I hear ya my US friends) pretty much everywhere. I absolutely love this loose and simple yet fancy looking look, a standard go-to for those shoot days or errands in the city.

I must admit until recently I didn’t know that Ugg was such a cool stop for trainers, I thought they were making boots only. Now I have this brown pair on my radar too, and I’m spying a very cool nude look that’ll justify their acquisition..

Oh well…
