I’m not usually one for Valentine’s Day, I’ve never really been. But this year I’ll be the one knocking down glasses of champagne with a very special date: myself.
I know I’ve only been a mother for 5mns, but my life has changed in ways I haven’t been able to comprehend just yet. Someone asked me this morning what it felt like to be a mother, at that stage she could have handed me a pen and paper and given me 4 hours to dissert. The lack of sleep, the flow of hormones, and the soreness of both your mind and body will have you quite confused; throw society’s expectations on top and you have no idea what’s what.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Hope you’re having a day filled with love and laughter!
If you’re looking for me today, I’ll be dancing and knocking down a few glasses of Moët in my PJs. And since it’s Valentine’s Day, I’ll make sure it matches the mood and will go for the fruity Rosé version 🙂
And if you’re not one to share your bottle either, you can always stick your ownership on it (get your stickers here or here)
Have a beautiful one!
It’s about bell sleeves here. I was desperately digging for a play on words with Saved by the bell. Then I realised that actually nothing requires me to be this pathetic. So let me jump right in.
It might seem like a New Year, New Me impulse, but I genuinely enjoy the occasional bedroom revamp. I like to switch things up by changing a few bits in our bedroom, I do it around 3, 4 times a year I reckon. It’s only now that I’ve decided to show you one of these revamps on here that I’m actually asking myself what’s with that habit. I think it’s down to the fact that this is the room where I wake up everyday, and to keep me going first thing I guess it’s important to keep things fresh. I like waking up feeling like I got my life together, I need to be convinced of that the second I open my eyes, and a couple of cute cushions and a candle could trick anyone – don’t judge me before you’ve tried.
