NICOLE, BELL SLEEVES & NASHVILLE

It’s about bell sleeves here. I was desperately digging for a play on words with Saved by the bell. Then I realised that actually nothing requires me to be this pathetic. So let me jump right in.

Love them. Simples. Although It actually took me a while to like them. Between them and the flares overload, you could have easily fooled anyone into thinking you were on your way to a 70s fancy dress party. Plus they ooze a cheap feel if you’re not careful, and you might want to stay away from the jersey type. As for the cropped fit, a little bit Nashville (as in the TV series) if you ask me but Netflix actually got me hooked so I wouldn’t be the one judging you.

I would dress mine down with a pair of jeans but then I remembered I hadn’t rocked a dress bump free in a while so grabbed this green Whistles dress. I love a good layering with a dress,  but not just throwing a jumper on it and pass it as a skirt; with the collar of the dress peeking out and its splits contrasting with the huge swinging sleeves, I felt quite proud of myself. So I had to finish up with this faux fur and a pair of Kat Maconie to funnel this new found smugness.

Let me know on Instagram if you’ve joined the wagon too!

Speaking about Instagram, I mentioned that I was looking for a Geneva based photographer a few weeks ago and the lovely Nicole emailed me. Turns out she already wanted to reach out to me, and we’re practically neighbours! Synchronicity, eh? She’s my new ray of sunshine here in Geneva, she’s a young mum too and we’re both too eager to explore our creativity this year and direct some cool shoots! So expect some gorgeous content on here because I have a new wing woman and she’s the best!

Lots of love,

Freddie x
