I was going to post this on Wednesday, but it was such a sad day! I spent it working like a mad person, despite being shattered, as a way to distract myself from the unrealness of the situation. How did we end up there? Anyway, I’m not going to dwell on that, I’m going to focus on the positive instead, hence this post 🙂

I realise I had once promised more pregnancy updates, along with more entrepreneur updates (if you don’t know, I launched my confidence workshops earlier this year and a hair extensions brand 6 months ago) and I failed to deliver. Many reasons for that, the first one being that I had no clue how hard pregnancy would be, and I guess I’m just happy to forget about all the hard moments the second they end – I spent two solid months vomiting non stop, it was the loneliest I had ever felt. Then there’s the Geneva move, which was a walk in the park…in my head! Here again, loneliness struck hard and still does. Take these two experiences and chuck a new business in the mix – I’m not one to give up so I’m not going to say that I bit off more than I could chew, but let’s say I’m still chewing, you know like some meat you’ve cooked for so long it becomes rubbery. I’m mouthful Freddie.

I was also so proud to tell you about such a huge milestone, being asked to take part in Tedx Brighton, one of the biggest Tedx events in Europe. Well I had to bail on that in the end, far too pregnant and tired to make the journey – I can’t tell you how much I cried.

So all in all, this year has been RIDICULOUSLY tough! But I’m getting near the end of my Baby H cooking, and I’m so excited! So so excited to finally meet my little wriggler, and also to get my body and mobility back. And I can’t wait to see what I can do work wise once he’s not curled up up in my ribs anymore. Because to be fair, Big Hair No Care had an amazing debut! So so amazing, despite very little marketing and me not being able to give it my 100% – so I’m relaunching it! We’re starting from scratch, rethinking both logo and brand identity, the products, everything! And I gave myself the challenge to have it all done before Master H turns up (I’m way behind schedule ahah) so I can properly indulge in motherhood (OMG can you imagine me being a mum though???!!!). Because I’m not allowed to fly anymore, London is out of bounds for a while, so last weekend we took the train to Paris to shoot new assets for the site (swings and roundabouts,eh!).

That’s when my beloved Natacha offered to take some pregnancy photos for us. She shot us earlier this year and the photos were beyond gorgeous – she’s the kind of person obsessed with love, so she’s amazing at shooting couples, women and expecting mums. She hasn’t even been doing that for that long, she’s a natural! We met on my first banking job, and she still works in finance. Could you tell? I’m so excited for what lies in front of her, she’s about to turn her passion into her full time job and I simply enjoy watching her grow! She’s Paris based, and she’s beyond sweet so should you need photos, you have to hit her up!! At the moment she’s expecting a little girl, a future wifey for Baby H so she’s taking things slow but just like me, she’s ready to grab 2017 by the pussy (seems to be the sort of lines that get you votes so…)
Please check her out and give her a follow!

In the meantime, meet the Harrels, while there’re only two of them 🙂 I can’t tell you how excited I am to embark on this journey with Tom! He’s my favourite person in the world, I can’t even describe what he is to me because it would never encompass what I really feel, and you’re telling me that we’re making another person, half me, half him? GET OUT OF HERE!

Lots of love,

Freddie x

What Ilke the most about your post is that they’re realistic and not some king of ” look how lucky and cool I am”.
A real woman for real women.
Moving is always hard I’ve moved 7 times already and I am 26, pheraps you could join ome mom’s group where you are I think you will want some other moms to confront with after Baby H is here =)
    lost of love

This is the most amazing post (kudos on the pussy line usage). You and Tom seem to be the most amazing people and Natacha is indeed a stunning photographer as these photos are phenomenal! I admire you sharing your struggles, fears, and setbacks. I think doing so is necessary for moving forward through them, which I have no doubts that you’ll do. What an inspiration, darling! I’m certainly looking forward to e-meeting baby H and to you continuing to kill it through it all! You’ve certainly got this!

Lots of love and encouragement to you and yours ❤️

Love this post! You look absolutely radiant. It’s incredible how much you’ve accomplished this year good on you. I know how you feel with the loneliness during pregnancy I had sickness really badly for the first 4months I hardly left the house couldn’t eat and just felt like I was in a really low place but it’s all worth it once you hold your little one. All the best with the rest of your pregnancy xx
