You know by now that you’re more likely to bump into me wearing a pair of (unflattering) jeans. I sort of bagged the “denim expert” tag back in my days at ASOS. They’re like the cheese to my enchilada, or more like the crack to my pipe given that I own almost 20 pairs of them. And my obsession and I are having a terrific year. Yep, 2015 is to be marked with a heavy denim stamp.

Jeans have always been around. There’s nothing ground-breaking here, that’s the sort of thing you’d expect from one of the comfiest attires. And that’s the reason why my lazy bum and I are so down with the denim clan. The easier, the better. Always.

It’s never really been about following the trends, most of the time I don’t give two hoots about what the hype’s about. During my days at ASOS, I kinda had to mingle closer with trends, for the purpose of the job, but at the end of the day. you should be rocking whatever float your boat, dahling!

The good thing about your favourite pieces making it to the trend hit list, is that you end up with a broader choice of them. My eyes go sore at the sight of all the amazing jeans coming out at the moment – I want it all! You keep the simplicity, but you’re taking the lush barometer to another level!

I absolutely love this pair, their thickness, the simple but efficient cut and the badass knee rip. I wanted a dressed down look so went for an all denim takeover, mixed with a simple retro bag and pair of flat sandals. There’s something quite 70s about it, and you know I’m all about that magic decade!

I chose to tone down the all denim brief, as I know that some of you stay away from that, scared to look like a lumberjack stocking up on some wood for the winter. The trick is to go for chambray or anything closer to that fabric. It’s a much more fluid and feminine denim, ideal for the spring days. So bring on the denim!

I’ve picked a few shirts to get you started, if you decide to get involved, show me your looks on Instagram/Twitter (@igobyfrankie) – I’m too exited to see your looks!

501 kisses coming your way,

Frankie x

Love the simplicity of this look. I too have been obsessed with denim for a very long time.
You should check a few of my blog post dedicated to denim.
