BUM CHEEKS & FREE CANDY
I don’t know about you, but as a child, I would hate when my mum would put me in those matchy-matchy sets. You know, the cute floral shirt and its cute matching flippy skirt. The ultimate good girl kit, which once on would guarantee you a cheek pinch from your mom’s friend, followed by an (unnecessary) uber patronising compliment. All while your mom would leave with a nod of approval from said friends, saluting the great job she was doing in raising you.
If your history with matching sets resembles mine, even in the slightest, you shall relate when I tell you that as soon as I hijacked the reins of the dressing , these sets were banned. Exiled. Ostracised . Gone. And freedom began.
Rebellion in its woven state. Good bye order, I’m all about clashing now. I mean, even the term clash sounds rebellious, it sounds like a slap. I was so down with that. I’m sure you can see how.
Yet, we’ve been observing a come back for this lost order in the past couple of years. This old face hired the best PR army and got branded “co-ord”, sweet talking the most rebellious among us, with its shortened name and broken grammar. As if to say hey, we’re cool now, and we’re handing out free candy – come and get some.
Well it worked on me. I’m not even going to try to play it hard and tough, I’m as soft as a newborn’s left bum cheek. I’m even going to admit that I recently bought an extra rail, which I dedicate to all my suits and co-ords. Picture it as my shrine to these duets.
What I love about this ASOS white number is the tough bonded fabric, which gives the strong shape and body to this outfit. The metallic finish comes and enhances the spacesuit feel, so I had to pair the whole thing with galactic accessories hence the tights and the crazy trainers. Now, I’m ready to depart – see ya bitches!
Now if you want to get involved with the twosome love, here’s what I think is pretty hot on the high-street!
