BOY BANDS & CHAMELEONS
Is it just me or do people seem to get into prints only when comes summer? I don’t get it – If I’m going to love you, I’m going to love you all year round. I supply that kind of consistent and unconditional love but hold on, I wouldn’t want to tease anyone here – I’m already taken you see. But I’m not one to judge flakiness.
Be flaky, flaky’s great but dear, put that on hold when it comes to print. How wicked is that jacquard co-ord though? I was telling you about ASOS White in a previous post and how little gratitude it gets on the fashion scene (like hey I’m offering to make you look like a million dollar but you’re just walking past avoiding me). I think it has something to do with the fact that the core ASOS customer is quite young and that ASOS White’s quality and therefore price point tap higher than your average ASOS product. But I’ve been in love with this brand (and I explained to you my sense of loyalty above) since day one and this new collection is simply brilliant.
Once again, I’m usually one mismatching my outfits but here again, this co-ord resonates louder as a band than as a Hey I’m Sting and I’m going to do my own stuff kinda style. I love how textured the whole print is versus the really light black panels – it’s exactly that sweet yet tough love you’ve been longing for. And because both pieces work so well together, as a solid block really, the styling possibilities are endless. Like these neon orange and green trainers and this badass red clutch. But dashes of yellow or even blue or purple would have worked too. I just love these outfits that you can wear in so many different ways!
