BEER STORY, HURRICANES & PILGRIMAGES
Despite the shitty storms, and the shitty hurricanes/tornados that have shot England back to the top spot of countries with the worst weather (hold on, that reputation was already there) I’m glad the sun is finally spreading some more love. Oh please keep shining London, me loving it.
These sunny winter weekends make me want to stroll around London and last weekend we headed to up and coming Peckham. I heard so much about the area but never really hang there, plus they brew their own beer so I definitely had to go and say Hi! If you’re about SE15 someday, make sure you go to Bar Story, it’s a really cool looking bar, by the rail arches. And It looks so raggedy from the outside, you have to check it out. Bet the hipsters are all over it but eh, we need to share these cool spots!
Onto the outfit now. I’m not going to talk about these boots, I already told you that we have this thing going on (and I’ll be wearing them until the soles wear off) but this jumper I can talk about. I spotted it on H&M’s site and in a couple of magazines and went on a pilgrimage to find it (the 5 and counting H&M stores on Oxford Street on the 1st Saturday of the sales slash the last Saturday before Xmas – true commitment here, see) but it was worth it.
I paired this jumper with large tapered trousers to maintain the shape the sweater gives but kept the whole outfit ladylike with my peep toe boots.
If I’m wearing a large top, I generally tend to match it with large trousers so my body doesn’t look too disproportioned. I think that overall, we rely too much on tight clothes to feel sexy but if you just wear a pair of heels with a “baggy” outfit, it automatically adds so much more class that you can afford to wear comfortable clothes.
Anyway, enjoy the sun while it lasts people!
